Carter Camper CCHA Player of the Month

Camper, a sports studies major, averaged two-and-a-half points-per game as he led the RedHawks to a perfect 4-0-0 month in December. The Miami sophomore recorded his first career hat trick on December 7 against Western Michigan, a game in which he also tied his career best in points (4) by adding an assist. The next weekend, December 14 vs. RPI, the Rocky River, Ohio, native set another career best by assisting on three RedHawk markers. In that contest Camper also netted a goal to tie his career high in points for the second time in three games.
The 5-foot-9, 173-pound forward scored a total of four goals and recorded six assists in December to move atop the CCHA scoring race and into third place in the nation at month’s end. Camper also scored a power-play goal and recorded a +3 rating in two games while finishing the month with a +7 rating. The sophomore forward notched multiple points in three of four games and totaled 27 shots in December.
Special mention for RBC Financial Group CCHA Player of the Month honors goes to Bowling Green sophomore forward Dan Sexton, Ferris State senior forward Corey Couturier, Michigan sophomore forward Louie Caporusso, Michigan State senior forward Matt Schepke, Notre Dame senior goaltender Jordan Pearce and Ohio State sophomore forward Peter Boyd.
