After rallying from a 3-0 deficit in the third period to level the game, the second-seeded and No. 7 Miami hockey team looked poised to complete a historical comeback but UMass Lowell’s Riley Wetmore scored 2:13 into overtime to propel the third-seeded and No. 13 River Hawks to a 4-3 win in the NCAA East Regional Semifinals Friday night at Webster Bank Arena.

Miami Press Releases Drops, hockey, overtime
I was so proud to watch Miami battle back from that 3-0 deficit last night, and was crushed when they lost in overtime. They outshot the Riverhawks by such a large margin in the 3rd perios and overtime, I can’t believe that more of those shots didn’t get in! I guess you have to hand it to their goalie.
I couldn’t go to last night’s game, but was planning to go tonight. I’m sorry I won’t ge tthe chance.
Thanks for a great season, and for making it exciting right to the end!
